This is a collection of 2 scrapbooks that were put together by Belle Reeves, Secretary of Washington State. One scrapbook is titled Pres. Roosevelt. It is a collection of newspaper articles from primarily Washington State newspapers about the death and funeral of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This scrapbook includes a few pictures and newspaper articles about Belle Reeves. Since she passed away while she held office, there was a State funeral and the scrapbook includes obituaries from Washington State newspapers. The second scrapbook titled Pres. Truman consists of articles about the transfer of power to Truman, the Truman election of 1949 and the Truman administration.
